i was listening to npr on my way home from work today, and a man was on talking about the dangers of placing patents on nature, trees, organisms, living things and what not. at one point, he said amino acids, and right then and there i fell in love with him. Ok, not in love with him, but definitely crushing on the way he said amino acids.

a-mine-no acids. and not a-me-no acids like the rest of us. of course this lovely man was british, or else he would be an idiot for saying a-mine-no acids.

i relayed this story to a friend and he quickly responded with, al-BINE-no acids? as in albinos, like powder and our other melanin challenged friends.

(just a thought, but this post is enhanced by reading out-loud in a british accent of your choosing, either a dirty brit or a stuffy brit. )
